Welcome to the website of the Virginia Forum.

The 2014 Virginia Forum will be held March 13-15, 2014, at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. We hope to see you there!

The 2015 Virginia Forum will be held March 12-14, 2015 at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Stay tuned for details!


The Virginia Forum is interdisciplinary and welcomes participation from scholars, teachers, and historical professionals in all fields. The Forum brings together historians, teachers, writers, archivists, museum curators, historic site interpreters, librarians, and others engaged in the study and interpretation of Virginia history to share their knowledge, research, and experiences.

The Virginia Forum is an annual event and is hosted by different universities and historical organizations around the state. View conference programs from past years:
